On the evening of 16 September 2025, the Art institute of the Orient (AIO) was honored to host esteemed guests, including Mr. Cheung Man Sun, former Assistant Director of Broadcasting at Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) and Ms. Candy Chea Shuk Mui, as well as Mr. Wai Yin, the Father of Hong Kong Children’s Songs, and his spouse. Ms. Dorothy Wong, the Chairman of AIO, warmly welcomed the guests, escorting them on a tour of the historic building and hosting a refined dinner filled with artistic ambiance.
2025年9月16日傍晚,东方荟萃艺术学院(AIO)荣幸接待了多位尊贵嘉宾。包括香港电台电视部原助理广播处长张文新和车淑梅伉俪,及 “香港儿歌之父” 韦然伉俪。东方荟萃艺术学院董事长黄崇琼女士热情接待来宾,带领参观历史建筑,并在充满艺术气息的晚宴中款待宾客。

During the visit, the guests were deeply impressed by the century-old French architecture and its unique aesthetics. They expressed heartfelt appreciation for Utahloy Group’s dedicated efforts to preserve and revitalize this heritage structure, describing it as a tribute to history and continuation of artistic legacy.
在参观过程中,客人们对百年历史的法国建筑及其独特的美学风格深感震撼,对誉德莱集团用心保育、让这座百年建筑重焕辉煌的举措,表达了由衷感慨,称其“既是对历史的尊重,也是对艺术的传承”。


Dinner was held in the elegant library side hall on the second floor, where lively exchanges flourished. Ms. Candy Chea, Honorary Fellow of Lingnan University, shared her insights on AIO’s artistic vision and future development, sparking inspiring dialogue and communication.
晚宴设于 AIO 二楼图书馆偏厅,氛围温馨雅致。席间觥筹交错,交流活跃。香港岭南大学荣誉院士车淑梅女士,积极分享对 AIO 艺术理念与未来发展的见解,引发众人共鸣。

The visit concluded with a group photo, capturing the memorable evening. Guests expressed great appreciation for the profound experience – a journey through heritage and the soul of arts education.
参观活动以集体合影圆满结束,定格了这个难忘的夜晚。来宾们对这次深刻体验表达了由衷的感谢——这是一次穿越文化遗产与艺术教育精髓的旅程。

Ms. Candy Chea Shuk Mui
A distinguished media professional in Hong Kong, currently affiliated with Radio Television Hong Kong. She has been honored as one of Hong Kong’s Top Ten Youths and holds honorary fellowships from both the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Lingnan University.
车淑梅女士
香港知名传媒人士,现任香港电台任职。曾获颁“香港十大杰出青年”称号,并获香港演艺学院及岭南大学授予荣誉院士头衔。
Mr. Cheung Man Sun
Former Assistant Director of Broadcasting at Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), and an alumnus of St. Paul’s College. He played a pivotal role in the production of music program, “Chinese Songs Top Chart,” and “Top Ten Chinese Golden Songs,” making a profound impact on the development of modern Cantonese music. He is also credited with coining the legendary title of Hong Kong’s “Four Heavenly Kings” in the pop music industry. During his tenure, he coordinated the live broadcast of the Olympic Torch Relay in Hong Kong in 2008, which marked the largest broadcast since 1997. In 2009, he proposed a media transformation strategy that expanded RTHK’s collaborative opportunities and facilitated its transition into an independent television entity.
张文新先生
曾任香港电台(RTHK)电视部原助理广播处长,圣保罗学院校友。他在音乐节目《中文歌曲龙虎榜》及《十大中文金曲》的制作中发挥了关键作用,深刻影响了现代粤语流行曲的发展,其后香港流行乐坛< 四大天王>的美号也是由他所创。任内曾统筹2008年香港奥运火炬接力现场直播,创下自1997年以来最大规模的转播记录。2009年提出媒体模式转型策略,推动香港电台拓展合作空间并转为独立运作电视台。
Wai Yin
Renowned as the “Father of Hong Kong Children’s Songs,” he is a prominent composer of Cantonese children’s rhymes. His works, characterized by catchy melodies and lyrics, have resonated with generations of Hong Kong people. Notable classics include ‘Guess Whose Rooster’ and ‘Sitting in a row’, while ‘Little Ming Goes to Guangzhou’ has sparked widespread popularity online. Around 1978, he authored over 300 children’s songs, adapting traditional folk melodies, such as ‘Under the Moonlight’ into children’s delightful music, thereby enriching the musical representation of Cantonese rhymes. His contributions have gained widespread recognition both in Asia and among overseas Chinese communities.
韦然
韦然被誉为“香港儿歌之父”,是粤语童谣领域的杰出作曲家。其作品以朗朗上口的旋律与歌词著称,深深打动了香港几代人的心。经典代表作包括《何家公鸡何家猜》和《排排坐》,而《小明上广州》更在网络上引发全民热议。在1978年前后,他创作了300余首童谣,将《月光光》等传统民谣改编成悦耳动听的旋律,为粤语童谣的音乐表现形式注入新活力。他的贡献不仅在亚洲广受赞誉,在海外华人社群中也享有盛誉。
